Inside the large shack, Kritak stood with worry as she looked outside the great window. Being the village matriarch, the old Coidean had good reason to be concerned, as earlier there was a heavy amount of rustling in the trees and green rays firing from within the woods. It had to be more of the outsiders coming into the swamps to cause trouble. Kritak knew that the jungle was very dangerous, so she was not willing to come out of the big house in case whatever beasts came into the village to wreak havoc. Instead, she turned around, planning on sending a message to Iktash, the village head of defense. If warned of the danger early, he could assemble a defense team and deal with this quicker than a swamp rat runs into its hole. At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Kritak stopped in her tracks and called out. "Enter," she croaked. The door opened, and a tall, burly green Coidean stepped in. When Audrey opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was that the dark sky above her had lightened slightly to an odd green color. The air was still hot and sticky, but a slightly cool wind was blowing. The next thing she noticed was the earthy smell of everything around her, which was definitely not there when she arrived. Audrey stood up and stretched, looking with fear and awe at the eerily gloomy atmosphere of the riverbank. From where she stood, she was about to enter yet another dangerous trek through a hostile, unfamiliar world. Holding her gun firmly, she stepped into the thick foliage. Her feet trudged through wet soil, then mud, then more dirty water. Before she knew it, Audrey was thigh-deep in a pool filled with dirt, plants, and apparently living animals? She could feel that there were some currents within the still water, indicating that there was indeed life in the pond. The burning metal husk of the narrowboat sank into the black waters of the alien lake, the light of the blue satellite dwarfed by the golden smoke surrounding the surface of the deep. All that floated on the water were broken pieces of furniture, burnt trinkets, and the corpse of a slender, pale man with long, thin fingers, large gray eyes, and dressed in a fine suit stained with blood. Among the flotsam was a floating sealed box with contents hidden behind locks. The box drifted away, possibly never to be seen again. Emerging from the cold water was a woman in a soaked, thin green bikini, swimming away from the wreckage. She was far from land, and she needed to get there now. Looking around frantically, she noticed a hollowed-out log drifting by and swam toward it. The woman grabbed on and lied down on the log, panting heavily. Upcoming:
My greatest project...a piece of conspiracy, commentary, travelling, and trash that has two different concept series. One is Dark Rift, the other is Planet of the Crossing (Update: "Dark Rift" has been scrapped). Still, both have such unpleasantries as aliens, depopulation conspiracies, Nibiru, a doomsday scenario, and Connor Stark and Wendeline Whitman.

I'm getting REALLY tired of seeing AI "art" steal attention on DA. The new format has been getting worse and worse to the point that even searches don't work, sending you random stuff that is barely related to your search before showing what you actually looked for.
